The Czech Aerosol Society (CAS) was established in 1999 from the Working Group on Aerosol Research of the Czech Society of Chemical Engineering, on the occasion of the European Aerosol Conference held in Prague. Since 2002, CAS has been a member of the European Aerosol Assembly (EAA). According to its statutes, CAS brings together primarily researchers from research institutes and universities with the following objectives:

• To promote collaboration in all areas of aerosol research.
• To facilitate the exchange of information about aerosols among members and with the wider public through meetings and publications.
• To support education in aerosol science at all levels.
• To promote international cooperation.
